These 3D visualizations were based on a real design by RULES architects from Slovakia. Our only references were photos taken by the authors of the project – thanks to them we recreated the apartment in every detail. This apartment is a perfect example of a modern, cozy design with a light dose of industrialism. It gives a good feeling of heart and home.
As the first step of “photo-based” work, we’ve created walls and cameras at the same time. Because we did not know any dimensions of the apartment we had to find it by ourselves (testing method). This part of the project was difficult because we didn’t know any camera-parameters (mainly FOV value). Eventually, it worked out. In a next step, we furnished the space and filled it with details and decorations, which mostly were done from scratch. Then we created HDRI lightning and materials.
Postproduction for this project was entirely made in Photoshop. We slightly changed some values (brightness, levels and contrast) and we’ve done some little work using masks (mainly for reflection and refraction passes). If you want to know more about the project ,you can visit this site.
