In this 3D visualization project, we recreated the existing house “Seaside Abode” located in North Zealand Denmark, designed by Norm Architects. We liked this project very much, mainly due to the use of very natural and dark materials. The house fits perfectly into the existing surroundings without disturbing the harmony of the landscape. The advantage of the dark, subdued shades of wood and colors gives the interior characteristic “wild look”.
SCANDINAVIAN LOOK
CREATION PROCESS
Most of the 3d models used in this project were created by ourselves directly in 3Ds Max. We tried to refine every detail to reproduce the characteristic aura of the Scandinavian look. For the lightning, we used HDRI and Corona sun. Then we created a set of materials (mainly wood shaders) and applied them to the objects.
POST-PROCESSING
Post-production for this project was made entirely in Photoshop. We made some small corrections, like changing the background of the images, playing with brightness and contrast, and slightly changing the saturation.
